There are hundreds of poker rooms on the internet in 2010. A vast majority of these rooms are part of an online poker network. These rooms are called skins. Basically, they share players and software with all of the other rooms on the network. On some poker networks skins number in the hundreds. This had created an era of scandals and scams. Not all poker networks are bad but most of them have “rogue rooms” that give the network an overall bad reputation. That is the problem when networks rent their software to anyone. It leads to hundreds of skins that are managed by one or two man teams. Sometimes these people disappear, along with everyone’s money, and the network corporations do nothing.
I will play at the leading rooms for several networks, such as Cake Poker, Aced Poker and UB Poker. For the most part though I stick with the main independent poker rooms in 2010, like Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker.
